My biggest piece of advice when you’re planning a wedding is to roll with the changes and not get to caught up in the little details that won’t make a difference for your marriage. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a couple that truly lived that more than Kate and Jared!
Like many 2020 couples, they didn’t know that a little ol’ pandemic was coming their way when planning their wedding in the beginning of the year. When everything really started to hit the fan, Kate and I were talking and she said they were getting married this summer regardless of if they had to change every single thing about how they envisioned their wedding day. Their marriage was so much more important than the wedding.
Looking back now, I couldn’t have pictured their wedding day any differently. It was so perfect. Jared’s brother-in-law’s family graciously offered up their BEAUTIFUL home in the hills of Escondido which was the perfect venue for their closest family and friends. Everything seemed to come together so effortlessly and it was so clear that everyone there had so so so much love for these two.
Best backup plan ever.
